24hrs with Santa
storyline
I love the '24 hrs with...' series were interviewer and interviewee are locked up together and the viewer gets a really close-up look at e.g. a tv personality.
I wanted the interviewer to get to grips with Santa and discover many layers behind the 'old guy with beard' facade.
This is my first forage into cartoon animation and I had a lot of fun.
art direction
I wanted a hand painted/drawn look so I created the Santa character in Photoshop.
Everything is soft and the colours vibrant with a mainly red and green theme.
All assets were created in Photoshop
This animation was entirely made in Moho which is perfect for 2D character animation. Rigging is simple and fast en their lip syncing option works great. I used some free loops and sounds and put it all together in Adobe Premiere.
